Irmu MCP server
Give Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Lovable and other AI tools live web access through Irmu. Six tools, sign in with OAuth or an API key, same credits as the REST API.
Server
One URL for every client
text
https://app.irmu.com/mcp- Two ways to sign in: OAuth (log in with your Irmu account and approve access) or an API key sent as Authorization: Bearer <key>.
- Create a separate API key just for MCP in the dashboard: its usage then shows apart from your other integrations.
- Every tool call uses the same credits as the matching REST endpoint. There is no extra fee for MCP.
- Calls run under your account and appear in your normal usage and quota.
- You can revoke access at any time by disconnecting the server in your AI tool.
Tools
Six tools, same as the API
| Tool | What it does | Endpoint | Credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| crawl | Fetch any URL as HTML, markdown or AI-extracted JSON, with optional JavaScript rendering, premium IPs and geotargeting.Try: "Fetch https://example.com/pricing and list every plan with its price."Product page | GET /crawl | 1, 5, 10 or 25 per page depending on rendering and IP tier |
| screenshot | Capture a full-page or viewport screenshot of a URL.Try: "Take a screenshot of irmu.com as seen from Germany."Product page | GET /screenshot | Same as GET /screenshot |
| google_ai_overview | Get Google's AI Overview text and cited sources for a query, by country.Try: "Does Google show an AI Overview for 'best web scraping api' in the US, and which sites does it cite?"Product page | GET /google-ai-overview | 30 flat |
| booking_search | Search Booking.com hotels for a destination and dates, with prices.Try: "Find 4-star hotels in Lisbon for 12–14 March under €200 a night."Product page | GET /booking/search | 30 flat |
| booking_hotel | Get a full Booking.com property page: rooms, prices, facilities, reviews.Try: "Compare room prices for this Booking.com hotel next weekend."Product page | GET /booking/hotel | 30 flat (0 if the property is not found) |
| crawl_poll | Collect the result of a slow job. When a tool returns a job id (HTTP 202), the assistant calls this until the result is ready. | GET /crawl/{job} | No extra charge — the original call is billed |

Alternative
Use an API key instead of OAuth
Clients that let you set request headers can skip the sign-in screen. Replace YOUR_IRMU_API_KEY with a key from the dashboard.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http irmu https://app.irmu.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_IRMU_API_KEY"Cursor / Windsurf-style config
{
"mcpServers": {
"irmu": {
"url": "https://app.irmu.com/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_IRMU_API_KEY"
}
}
}

Troubleshooting
- 401 Unauthorized or the tool asks you to sign in again
- Your session expired or the API key was revoked. Reconnect and sign in again, or paste a valid key.
- Tool calls fail with a credits error
- Your plan's credits are used up. Check usage at https://app.irmu.com and upgrade or wait for the monthly reset.
- The client cannot connect
- Make sure the client supports remote MCP servers over HTTP (with OAuth or custom headers), and that the URL is exactly https://app.irmu.com/mcp.
- A request takes long
- Heavy pages can take a while to render. Ask the assistant to retry or use a lighter request (for example without JavaScript rendering).
